What's In This Guide?
WISH and its many partners are pleased to present this nation wide smoke free dining guide. Wisconsin's database is maintained by WISH, but all other states are maintained by the organization linked by the banner. Your "Comments" will be emailed to them.
The criteria that WISH uses for Wisconsin (and encourages for other states) is that all parts of the restaurants listed must be 100% smoke free. If they also have an attached bar, that must also be smoke free. Even if it is 500 feet down the hall, it is impossible to come up with fair criteria that satisfies anything other than 100%.
Note also that we try to limit the entries to those that match the question "Where do you want to eat tonight?"
Obviously, restaurants with fast food and table service would satisfy as an answer. Not likely would be the corner gas station that has a smoke free sandwich bar, the local hospital or company with a smoke free cafeteria, and etc.. The problem with including all of these facilities is that the guide would become very diluted and less useful.
